Review of Systems School of Medical Transcription

In the old days on Prodigy, a number of MTs wanted to get to know each other a little better and thus created "Profiles in Courage." In each profile, the MT would include pictures, information about their families/lives, their "how they got started" stories, favorite poems, etc. They would also answer (very creatively, I might add!) questions, such as, "What would you do if you won the lottery?"

I think it will be fun to do the same type of thing here with ROS students. You can send me your stories and pictures (I have a color scanner), and I will make each of you a personal web page. If you already have a personal web site, let me know the address, and I will make a link for it.

Here are some ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

bulletYour name, location, e-mail address, and age (optional!). Anything personal you want to share!
bulletHow did you get interested in the medical transcription field?
bulletWhat did you do before starting ROS?
bulletWho and/or what inspires you to keep studying?
bulletTell us about your family, hobbies, pet peeves, favorite books and movies, etc.
bulletWhat does your home office look like? What would you like it to look like?
bulletWhat is the top thing on your wish list?
bulletWhat would you do if you won the lottery?
bulletWhat do you do in your leisure time? (What leisure time, right?!)

Ideas: Jenn Rowney turned her profile into a progress note with HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS, SOCIAL HISTORY, FAMILY HISTORY, PHYSICAL EXAMINATION, IMPRESSION, and PLAN. It was great!

If you can attach pictures to e-mail, feel free to send your profile that way. Otherwise, mail your info to Pat Bowen, CMT, 106 Norway Lane, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. I hope that present students, as well as graduates, will participate. It will be a blast!
